Brittany Alston, M.D., Pediatrician
"I am a native of Detroit, Michigan. I graduated from Detroit Renaissance High School and Spelman College in Atlanta, GA, where I majored in Biology/Pre-Medicine. I earned my medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine (SOM) in Detroit. After medical school, I moved to the Sunshine State to complete my pediatric residency program at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami SOM. I am currently completing my chief resident year and will be moving to Orlando this summer to begin my career as a pediatric hospitalist. Medicine chose me at a very young age and I am honored to practice in this profession. I do what I love by advocating for patients who do not always have a voice. Most will say the journey to medicine is a marathon and not a sprint, but the rewards and lessons learned along the way make it so worthwhile. I couldn't imagine myself doing anything else."
